Between 2013 -2014 it has been reported by the HSCIC (Health and Social Care Information System) that 174,872 written complaints were made against the NHS. That is the equivalent to more than 3,300 written complaints a week over the year. The NHS are aware of the issues as are the government but whilst the NHS are busy dealing with other patients and the government are busy running the country, who helps the 174,872 badly treated, or neglected citizens that files complaints, not to mention those that didn’t have the time, the education or facilities to even make a complaint. Who picks up the pieces?
